Tierney WarsingTierney Warsing – 2009-2010 SJRA Rodeo Queen

Tierney Warsing is the 12 year old daughter of Dawn and Jason Warsing. Tierney resides in Bronson, Florida with her parents, twin sister Taylor. This 12 year old, seventh grader exemplifies the attitude and dedication of a rodeo queen. Barrel racing, pole bending, goat tying and breakaway are this cowgirls events but barrels holds the largest place in her heart! .

Outside of rodeo Tierney enjoys photography and teaching her dog, Snickers, new tricks. She can be found snapping shots of her animals and friends any time she has the chance, some of Snickers doing the many tricks Tierney has taught her.

Tierney says the SJRA is special to her because it is an opportunity to meet students with like interest, and who, like herself, get satisfaction through hard work and being a winner by doing their best in competition.

“It is an honor to be the SJRA queen for this rodeo season,” Tierney said. By carrying the American flag at the grand entries she cherishes that opportunity to represent America in the great sport of rodeo.

The SJRA rodeo queen’s responsibilities include carrying the sponsor, association, and American flag to all rodeos and lining up contestants to carry them in the grand entries. She is also responsible for sponsor banners getting to all rodeos and being hung on the arena fence. In addition to this the queen will be selling the 50/50 tickets at each rodeo and helping coordinate fundraisers.

Look for Tierney, on her horse Wisdom, at the rodeos. She looks forward to seeing you!
