CELEBRATING 25 YEARS

 

 

WELCOME TO THE RODEO

SJRA is the premier youth rodeo association for contestants ages five (5) to nineteen (19).  The organization is divided into three (3) division: Juniors (ages 5-11), Seniors (ages 12-14) and High School (ages 14-19).  Please refer to the membership page for additional information on age brackets and qualifications.

 

Rodeo season starts in September and runs through April culminating with finals rodeo in May.  Members may join at any time. Throughout the year, contestants enjoy pay-outs in each event  and at finals, the top contestants in each age division are rewarded with over $100,000 in prizes and cash awards.

 

SJRA draws some of the best competitors from Florida and Georgia.  It is a family oriented association offering youth riders the opportunity to compete in rodeo events while developing good sportsmanship and character with a high emphasis on education .  Competing in SJRA prepares the contestants for the next level of rodeo.

 


JUNIOR / SENIOR DIVISIONS EVENTS

**Top 15 point winners with at least 1 point in each division are invited to finals.

Top 5 finals champions each division win prizes.


HIGH SCHOOL DIVISIONS EVENTS

 

  • Pole Bending
  • Steer Wrestling
  • Breakaway Calf Roping
  • Tie Down Calf Roping
  • Goat Tying
  • Team Roping
  • Barrel Racing
  • Rough stock events may be added if there are 10+ entries per event

**Top 15 point winners with at least 1 point in each division are invited to finals.

 Top 3 finals champions receive prize money and spot on the TEAM SJRA for Shawnee, OK.

Know Before You Go  FINALS (Ocala, FL)

Rodeo Date: May 22- 2,5 2015

 

  • Refer to Finals Tab for all details.
  • Official Qualifier list will be posted on or before Friday, May 1st
  • ALL finals packets must be submitted to Misty Easler no later 12m on Monday, May 4th
  • If you fail to turn in paperwork or declare a specific event by 12m on Monday, May 4th, you will forfeit your position for that event and the slot will automatically be offered to the person below you.
  • Those who are contacted with the opportunity to move up will have 48hrs to submit a finals packet.
  • If you did not turn in your queen/princess packet, please send to Cherri Ohmer asap.
  • Nomination ballots must be submitted by May 1st.
  • Voting of directors and officers will be at final.
  • All members are welcome to attend finals even if you did not quality to participate in any events.
  • Stalls are REQUIRED at finals - be sure to indicate this on your finals forms.
  • Theme is NEON
  • If you are not attending finals and want a program book, fill out the finals page and just indicate you want a book.  You must request your book on or before May 4th.
