If you are a student ages five to eighteen (K - 12th grade) with a passion to rodeo then SJRA invites you to become a part of their association.
Students are divided into 3 division - Junior, Senior, and High School. Our Juniors and Seniors will compete in events on Saturdays and Sundays. These events include Tie-Down Calf Roping, Pole Bending, Barrel Racing, Team Roping, , Break-Away Calf Roping, Goat Tying, Chute Dogin’, and Ribbon Roping. Junior and seniors will compete for an excess of $50,000 in prizes and awards at the May finals. Our high school division will compete in traditional rodeo events with performances on Friday and Saturday nights. The High School division will assemble a team to represent SJRA in Shawnee, Oklahoma.
SJRA draws contestants from Florida and Georgia. It is a family oriented association allowing young adults to compete in rodeo events, while developing good sportsmanship and character. Our students have the opportunity to meet and fellowship with others their age that have the same interest in the sport of rodeo all while in a controlled and disciplined environment. By competing in the SJRA students are more prepared for the next level of rodeo. Our high school seniors will be exposed to college opportunities through recruiting and scholarships.
Rodeo season begins in September and culminates with finals in May. Our web site is updated regularly and as more information becomes available, it will be posted on-line. However, should you have any questions, please contact membership@sjra-rodeo.com.
So come join us – let’s RODEO!
