Welcome to the Rodeo
SJRA is a youth rodeo association for children ages five (5) to eighteen (18). Our organization is divided into 3 divisions: Juniors (ages 5-11), Seniors (ages 12-14) and High School (ages 14 - 18). All ages are determined as of contestant age on September 1st of that rodeo season. Any contestants who are 14 and in high school must compete with the high school division. Contestants compete from September thru April to qualify for the rodeo finals where they have a chance to earn over $80,000 in prizes and awards. SJRA draws contestants from Florida and Georgia. It is a family oriented association allowing young adults the opportunity to compete in rodeo events while developing good sportsmanship and character. Our students have the opportunity to meet and fellowship with others their age that have the same interest in the sport of rodeo all while in a controlled and disciplined environment. By competing in SJRA students are more prepared for the next level of rodeo.

Junior and Senior Division competes on Saturday afternoon and Sunday morning in the following events: Tie Down Calf Roping, Pole Bending, Barrel Racing, Team Roping, Breakaway Calf Roping, Goat Tying, Chute Doggin and Ribbon Roping. Top 15 point winners will be invited to finals in May..

High School Division competes on Friday night and Saturday morning in the following events: Tie Down Roping, Steer Wrestling, Team Roping, Pole Bending, Goat Tying, Barrel Racing, and Breakaway Roping. High School Top 15 point winners in each division will be invited to Finals in May to compete for a place on the SJRA Shawnee, OK Team. Top 3 contestants in each event will receive prize money.

FINALS PROGRAM ADS. Money and ads were due at March's rodeo. If you did not complete your ads or submit your money please do so as soon as possible. Each member is required to raise $200 in advertising through out the year ($400 per family). That can be in the form of arena banners, web ads or year end program books.   • 2 day rodeo (HS: 7:30pm Friday / 9am Saturday; JR/SR 1pm Saturday / 9am Sunday)
  • Stalls and Hook-ups are available - contact Cheryl/Ronnie at 912-579-2452 to book. Stalls @ $25/nt (60 available); hook-ups ($30/nt for 30amp & $35/nt for 50 amp (30 / 8 available respectively).
